I've met a few people through word of mouth, and clubs are starting to add their activities to the site.  Unfortunately the plug-in I purchased that is supposed to allow people to create their own events doesn't give me what I need.

What I really want to do is allow only certain people to post events, not everyone.  I'd like only the authorized club and group members to post.  My original idea was to spend some time training them, maybe look at their first three or four posts, and then give the individual authorization to post directly to the site, instead of in draft mode.

But when I created a ticket with the vendor they said it wasn't set up to do that.  Granted, the plug in does provide a better experience for the user than giving back-end access, but the fact it doesn't do that means I'll either have to grant any user access to post, or no users.  If I don't allow postings then I'll have to review them one by one, and I certainly don't want to do that!

So it's a dillema I'll have to solve.

The good news is that some of the clubs are starting to add their own activities, and it is making the site better.  After all, that's why we started the project in the first place.

We'll figure it out.  With the community's help, we can do this!
